Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Never at-
tempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
Have the device checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when the device
is connected to the mains power.
Use the device only in closed rooms.
Do not use the device in a very damp environment.
Risk of fi re
Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or explosive substances.
Do not use the device in the vicinity of combustible material.
Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
Always place the device upright on its base even during short pauses in ironing and
do not place it down on the bottom of the iron. Pull out the mains plug during lengthy
breaks.
Immediately after ironing, place the still hot device down a minimum of 15 cm away
from other objects.
Risk of Damage to Material and Property
Only iron on a stable, fl at, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface. We recom-
mend that you use a standard ironing board. Never iron on surfaces made from glass
or plastic.
Never cover up the steam nozzles and do not insert any objects into them.
Only switch on steam production when the water reservoir has been fi lled with water.
Otherwise the water pump of the device may be damaged.
Never direct the steam from the iron directly at mains cables or parts containing elec-
trical components (such as inside ovens, fridges, at switches and lights, microwave
ovens).
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
moisture, wet conditions, direct sunlight or impacts.
If a fault occurs while the device is in operation or before a thunderstorm, switch off
the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
When you disconnect the device from the mains power, always pull on the mains plug
and not the mains cable. Never pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
