HELPFUL HINTS
1. Be aware of small or "flick" movements of the
eye. Small amounts of strabismus are sometimes
difficult to see, but these too, often lead to
amblyopia. Movements can being either a
horizontal or vertical direction.
2. Children's attention spans tend to be brief. Vary
the toys and targets that are used.
3. If possible, perform this test with the patient
focusing at both near and distant targets.
