Instructions for use of the StrabismoScope
Unidirectional Occluder
Before You Start
• Dim the room lights slightly.
• Direct the patient's attention to an accommodative
target (small toy or wall chart).
• The patient side of the instrument (white) should
be positioned close to the patient's eye.
I.
Turn the StrabismoScope on and place
it over the Right Eye. Watch both the
uncovered and covered eyes.
The Right Eye
(covered) moves.
Remove StrabismoScope. Watch both eyes.
Eyes return to initial position, then
Right Eye Dominant Strabismus.
Eyes do not return to initial position, then

IF:
Neither eye is moving.
Proceed to Section II.
IF:
A Phoria Exists.
Proceed to Section II.
IF:
Both eyes move.
A Tropia Exists.
IF:
OR
Alternate Strabismus.
Proceed to Section II.
The Left Eye
does not move.
