Program selection
Welding programs are selected by a short
pressure on the key pad. A figure is displayed.
The figures indicates a specific welding program.
A welding program is named on the basis of a wire
type, a wire dimension and a gas type.
When the desired program is found through turning
the control knob, press shortly at the key pad and
hereby the program is active.
Reset to factory settings:
Factory settings for the selected program will be
reloaded when pressing the key pad until the indicator
gives a short flash.
Current/wire feed speed/material
thickness/welding program:
When the machine is not welding, the set
current/ wire feed speed/material dimension
is displayed. During welding the measured
current is displayed
Material thickness:
The function helps adjusting the current according to
material thickness (in mm). When selecting material
thickness an automatically setting of current is
calculated. Thereafter, the current can be further
adjusted. The material thickness function can be seen
as a good starting point in the selection of correct
current and voltage. A trimming of these parameters
will be required in almost every welding task in order
to obtain the most optimum result.
Arc length
If necessary, the arc length can be adjusted
by trimming the voltage. The measured
voltage is shown during welding. Press the
adjust from -9.9 to +9.9.
Press the
key to switch between display of voltage
and voltage trim.
ADVANCED CONTROL PANEL
key and
Control knob
This knob is used for adjusting welding
current, wire feed speed, material
thickness, arc length and secondary
parameters. Max. wire feed speed is
18.0 m/min.
Trigger mode
When the indicator is on, 4-times has been
selected and when the indicator is off, 2-times
has been selected. Trigger mode cannot be changed
during welding.
2-times:
Welding starts when the torch trigger is held down. To
end welding, the torch trigger is released and burn
back starts. It is possible to trigger the machine again
during post flow.
4-times:
Welding starts when the torch trigger is held down.
The trigger can then be released and welding
continues. To end welding the torch trigger is held
down again and burn back starts.
Tack welding
The key pad enables change from the actual
welding program to tack welding. Hotstart and
slope-down are not possible to set in tack welding.
The function has its own current value. The trigger
mode is always two-times in tack welding.
TM
DUO Plus
TM
DUO Plus
pulsates the wire and enables
welding with "slow pulse" as seen in many
TIG-machines. This welding method can be seen as a
line of partly overlapping welding spots which results
in a characteristic welding seam similar to a TIG-
welding seam.
The advantage with this functions is that the weld pool
is reduced and the penetration ability is increased
even though the welding speed is maintained. The
welding method is a big advantage where there are
special requirements for controlling the weld pool, e.g.
when joining different material thicknesses.
Setting of secondary parameters MIG
Press the control knob until the requested
parameter is displayed. To return to normal
display the key pad for arc length or
current/wire feed speed/material thickness is
to be pressed briefly.
Arc adjust:
Arc-adjust (electronic choke) makes it possible
to adjust the speed of reaction to short-circuits.
Arc-adjust can be set in steps from -5.0 to +5.0.
