fall-arrester if the M47 connector secured to the end
of the energy absorber of the retractable lanyard is
connected to an anchor point, and if the retractable
lanyard connector is linked to an anchor point on the
fall-arrester harness.
• use the blocfor™ 1.8 DUO EVO ESD self-retracting
fall arrester if the M47 connector attached to the end
of the device's energy absorber is connected to a
structural anchor point, and if one of the connectors of
the retractable straps is connected to the fall arrester
harness attachment point.
• use the blocfor™ 1.8 EVO ESD self-retracting fall
arrester if the M47 connector is connected to anything
other than the fall arrest harness back attachment
point.
• to use the blocfor™ 1.8 DUO EVO ESD self-retracting
fall arrester if one of the connectors at the end of the
retractable straps is hooked onto its harness while
using the blocfor DUO, with the exception of the fuse
points provided for this purpose, e.g. the fuse anchors

8. Installation
• Insofar as possible, the structural anchorage point
should be located above the operator. The structural
anchor point must withhold a minimal resistance of
12 kN.
• The connection to the anchoring point or to the
structure must be done using an EN 362 connector.
• For the connection of the fall-arrest system to the
fall-arrest harness, refer to the instructions of the
harness and the fall-arrest system in order to use
the proper anchorage point and the proper attaching
procedure.
DANGER
Before and during use, it is necessary to plan out
how possible rescue can be efficiently and safely
conducted, within less than 15 minutes. Beyond this
time, operator is in danger.

• Webbing strap: Multifilament polyethylene.
• Energy absorber: PA + PES.
• Housings: PA/ABS.
• Fastening parts: Stainless steel and zinc-plated steel.

11. Maintenance and storage
If your blocfor™ self-retracting fall-arrester is dirty,
it can be washed with clear, cold water using a mild
detergent for fabrics, and a synthetic brush.
If during use or when washing, the blocfor™ self-
retracting fall-arrester becomes wet, allow it to dry
naturally in a shaded location away from any source
of heat.
During transport and storage, protect the equipment in
a moisture-free package against any danger (source of
direct heat, chemical products, UV radiation, etc.).
