Operations
5.1 Demounting tubeless tyres
• Remove all wheel weights from the rim. Remove
the valve and deflate the tyre (Fig. 5.1-0).
NOTE: If the tyre is over 13" (340 mm) wide, first
set the bead breaker arm in the "Wide"
position. Proceed as follows:
1) Pull and hold the pin (1, Fig. 5.1-1), then move the
bead-breaking blade unit in the "Wide" position.
2) Release the pin (1, Fig. 5.1-1) in its hole to lock the
bead breaker in the new position.

• Break outer bead starting from a position opposite
the valve. Lubricate the bead and rim with a tyre-
specific lubricant only. Break inner bead. Pay
attention not to keep the pedal pressed longer than
necessary. This could damage the bead. Liberally
lubricate bead and rim (Fig. 5.1-2).
• Set the rim clamps to the proper position: retract
clamps to clamp the wheel from the inside and
widen clamps to clamp from the outside. When
clamping small wheels (14" or smaller) from the
outside, set the clamps at diameter nearly equal
to the rim diameter, before placing the wheel on
the relevant support. This is to avoid pinching the
cover.

THE PIN (2, FIG 5.1-1) LOCKS AND RELEASES
THE BLADE ROTATION.
TO MINIMISE THE RISK OF DAMAGES, RIMS
SHOULD BE CLAMPED FROM THE OUTSIDE.
