4.1 Controls

Before operating the machine ensure that you have
well understood the position and function of all the
controls (Fig. 4.1-1).
SMART SPEED operation:
Maximum speed for a given stall torque.
A.
Press and release the second pedal starting from the
left: the tower will tilt backward. Press again: the tower
tilts forward.

Locking:
Press and keep pressed the first LEFT pedal until the
red indicator (5, Fig. 4.1-2) on the locking tool comes
up (metal plate UP) and then release the pedal.
Releasing:
Keep the pedal pressed down until the tool releases the
rim (metal plate DOWN) and then release the pedal.

The operator has the pedal for the rotation in rest
position (1, Fig 4.1.3).
By pressing down the pedal in position (2, Fig 4.1.3),
the wheel support starts rotating clockwise.
By pressing the pedal all the way down into position
(3, Fig 4.1.3) the SmartSpeed function will be activated
and the wheel support will rotate at its maximum speed
(approximately 18 rpm).
By lifting the pedal in position (4, Fig 4.1.3), the wheel
support will rotate counter-clockwise.
D.
Open the bead breaker arm. Press down and hold the
third pedal from the right: by doing this you operate
the bead breaker and the arm will move towards the
machine. Release the pedal: the cylinder will retract
to its original position.
