The range of works covered by the door periodical inspection provided by an
authorised service centre of "WIŚNIOWSKI" Sp. z o.o. S.K.A.
• Identify the door type and serial number.
• Check the door marking, warning labels. Add new ones, if missing.
• Check the connection parts used in the door: door-to-wall mounting anchors,
guide mounting bolts.
• Check the springs and elements working with them. In case of evident wear
and tear signs, the elements should be absolutely replaced.
• When the door has been used for longer than 12 years, or if the door have
made more than 20 000 cycles (the number of cycles should be estimated
on the basis of the interview with the door owner) - the springs should be
absolutely replaced.
• Pay attention to conditions, in which the door is operated. If the conditions
are different from the required operation conditions, the owner should be
informed about possible consequences (e.g. about failure occurrence pos-
sibility).

The following activities to be performed during the door routine maintenance:
• Check spring tension - for this purpose, open the door leaf by lifting the leaf
to half-open position:
• if the leaf is visibly falling, increase the spring tension by its regulation,
• if the leaf is visibly lifting, decrease the spring tension by its regulation.
• If the above mentioned works are not performed, there is a risk that the
leaf may suddenly drop and hurt people, or cause damage to objects in
its vicinity.
• Check the correct and smooth rotation of rollers during door opening and
closing. If the rollers put resistance or do not rotate at all, check their condi-
tion, and rolling surfaces in particular. If necessary, replace entire assem-
blies.
• Check the mechanical components ensuring safety and correct door opera-
tion. In case of any failures, these must be immediately eliminated and faulty
components and parts should be repaired or replaced.
[C000045] 18. RESTRAINTS IN DOOR OPERATION
The door is not intended to be used:
• in an explosive environment,
• as a fire-proof partition,
• in moist rooms,
• in rooms with chemical substances harmful to the protective and paint coatings,
• from the sunny side in case of dark-coloured door leaves,
• as a bearing structure of a building,
• as a hermetic barrier.

submitted to the Owner in writing, e.g. to be noted in the door report book or
warranty card, and submitted to the door Owner. Upon performing the inspec-

[D000173] 19. ANTI-DROP SAFETY DEVICE
[A000013] The door with anti-drop safety device can be installed and adjusted
by at least a COMPETENT person.
[A000014] The present Assembly and Operating Instruction is a document in-
tended for Professional Installers or Competent persons. It contains necessary
information to ensure safe installation of the anti-drop safety device.
Please be familiar with all instructions prior to start with assembly. Please read
carefully the present instruction and follow its recommendations. The correct
door operation depends from the proper installation of the door and its anti-
drop safety device to a considerable extend.

[D000090] Application
Anti-drop safety device has been tested and certified with sectional doors of
"WIŚNIOWSKI" Sp. z o.o. S.K.A. It is certified to be used solely in doors pro-
duced by "WIŚNIOWSKI" Sp. z o.o. S.K.A.
"WIŚNIOWSKI" Sp. z o.o. S.K.A. does not bear responsibility for applying
this safety device in another doors. The anti-drop safety device may be used in
all sectional doors manufactured by "WIŚNIOWSKI" Sp. z o.o. S.K.A. which
operate vertically with a drive, or manually-operated.
The device is suitable for doors with the leaf weight from 20kg to 500kg. The safe-
ty device should be installed on both cables, on which the door leaf is hanged.
[D000095] Threats
The cables suspending the door leaf operate under high tension. All assembly and
maintenance works may only be performed, when the spring tension is released.
The spring tension should only be released when the door is in its closed position.
It is critical to follow the safety rules provided in the door maintenance instruction.
[D000100] Assembly
1. The device should be assembled during the installation of the door first bot-
tom panel. Installation of the device at the later stage of the assembly is much
more complicated due to the hinges and panels.
2. The device should be fitted without a panel mounting plate. The plate should
be connected with the device before fixing it to the panel.
3. During the assembly, the roller should be connected with the device casing.
4. The device should be installed in the guide when the spring on a lever is
tightened (the lever fixing the cable should be turned downwards).
Actions to be performed when the device is activated (blocked)
• Secure the door leaf against drop-down.
• Release the spring tension.
• To easily turn the lever, firstly lift the door leaf slightly, and then pull the lever
downwards.
• Dismantle the safety device.
ATTENTION! If the device was activated (was used), it is
obligatory to replace it with a new one.
It is necessary to change all door components that have
been damaged in the result of safety device activation.
[D000105] Maintenance
Anti-drop safety device does not require special maintenance. However, it is
necessary to keep it clean and protect against dust, especially sand. In case of
any cables damages, it should be immediately replaced.
Actions to be performed during maintenance inspection
The following actions are to be performed during maintenance inspection:
1. Release the door spring tension.
2. Check the condition of the spring fixing the lever.
3. Check if the cutter lever to which the cable is screwed, operates smoothly,
without jerks.
4. Check if the top roller moves smoothly in the sleeve. If necessary, lubricate it
with consistent grease.
If any irregularities in the safety device operation are observed, IT IS PROHIBIT-
ED to do any repairs. The device should be obligatory replaced with a new one.
[A000060] Disconnect the drive power supply during all
maintenance and inspection works.
