Changeover from pressure regulator R2 to R1
Check the inlet pressure parameter with gauge M1 and make sure that gas is supplied into
the manifold.
SLOWLY open ball valve V2.
SLOWLY open ball valve V4.
Close ball valves V1 and V3 to close the gas fl ow through the regulator R1.
Check parameter of the outlet reduced gas pressure with the gauge M2 and make sure the
required gas pressure is set. If not, proceed with correction - see chapter 6.8.
Now the pressure regulator R2 is operational and R1 reserve one.
7.3. GAS SUPPLY BY THE RESERVE GAS SOURCE USING QUICK
COUPLER C2 OR C3
Gas supply by the reserve gas source using quick coupler (C2 or C3) is used in case of
emergency status at inlet I1 and / or I2. In this case it is necessary to close ball valves V3 and V4
and through the quick coupler on position C2 or C3 connect gas supply from the high pressure
gas cylinder with pressure regulator that is in compliance with Medical Directive and standard
EN ISO 7396-1.
7.4. REDUCTION UNIT SHUTDOWN
Reduction unit shutdown can be only done by responsible person in compliance with standard
EN ISO 7396-1.
For short term (hours) shutdown close shut-off valves V1 & V4.
For long term (days) shutdown close shut-off valves V1 & V4 and the gas supply shut - off
valve.

8. ALARM CONDITIONS

8.1. ALARM PROCEDURE
On signal of alarm condition the appropriate visual indicator is illuminated on the alarm unit.
The alarm condition shall be recorded and the necessary action taken, as detailed in the
sections below.
8.2. STATUS INDICATED BY GAS ALARM
Always use instruction for the Gas Alarm (such as Gas Alarm).
8.2.1. HIGH DISTRIBUTION PRESSURE
Check inlet pressure with inlet gauge M1.
If the inlet pressure is higher than the max. limit, check the device supplying gas into the
MM40-STABILIZER. To check the supplying device always use instruction for use for such
device.
Check outlet pressure using outlet gauge M2.
If pressure is within the limits, contact service.
In case the pressure is higher than the top limit, reset the outlet pressure by the pressure
regulator (R1 or R2) on the operational side (see chapter 6.8 - Setting of regulators). Alarm will
be cancelled.
Keep checking the gauge M2 if the pressure doesn't rise again. If yes, change operational
side (see chapter 7.2) and call service.
8.2.2. LOW DISTRIBUTION PRESSURE
Check the inlet pressure using inlet gauge M1.
If the pressure is lower than the min. limit check the device supplying gas into the MM40 -
STABILIZER. To check the supplying device always use instruction for use for such device.
Check outlet pressure using outlet gauge M2.
If the pressure is within the limits, contact service.
In case the pressure is below the min. limit, reset the outlet pressure by pressure regulator (R1
or R2) on the operational side (see chapter 6.8 - Setting of regulators). Alarm will be cancelled.
