Keep checking the gauge M2 if the gas pressure doesn't fall again. If yes, check if there is no
leakage on some of the connections to the pipeline.
In case that the damage is not found, change operational side (see chapter 7.2) and call
service.
9. MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, PERIODICAL CHECKS
9.1. MAINTENANCE
EN
To ensure the correct function of the medical device MM40-STABILIZER:
It is necessary to start and manage a maintenance book - this means operational book to
keep evidence and archive every operational status - events, periodical checks, exchange of
components and other notes important for further service. Always write down into the book
date of event, description and all must be signed by person who wrote the record and /or
proceeded with the check/repair.
Service can be only done by a GCE certifi ed person who also owns all necessary certifi cates
in compliance with national standards for mounting and repair of dedicated gas devices,
including EN ISO 7396-1 and in compliance with standards for electro - installations. For more
information contact GCE or distributor of GCE products.
Use only original GCE components!
Following procedures should be done regularly, at least monthly:
Check lifetime label with assigned date of end of lifetime of the product (see chapter 11).
Product must not be in operation after exceeding its lifetime!
Ball valves V1, V2, V3 and V4 must be functional and easily manageable - rotary.
Check tightness of ball valves V1, V2, V3 and V4, especially check if there is no leakage
around the spindle using the detection fl uid (or using gas detector for the such type of gas).
At variant wit a safety valve check its function by manual purge.
At variant with safety valve check tightness of connection to the adapter and connection for
the safety valve including connected purge pipeline using the detection fl uid (or using gas
detector for the such type of gas).
Check tightens of the connections between pressure regulators R1, R2 and mono blocks
using the detection fl uid (or using gas detector for the such type of gas).
Check tightness of inlet connections I1 and I2 and outlet connection O1 using the detection
fl uid (or using gas detector for the such type of gas).
Check the parameter of inlet pressure using gauge M1 and parameter of outlet pressure using
gauge M2.
Check if all labels and tables are placed correctly according to schema in the instruction for
use and if they are well readable and in good condition.
All labels on the equipment must be kept in good, legible condition by the provider and the
user during the entire product life time.
Change the operating sides (see chapter 7.2) and check inlet and outlet pressure on the
gauges.
In case of malfunction call service.
9.2. CLEANING OF EXTERNAL PARTS
Remove dirt with a soft cloth damped in oil free oxygen compatible soap water and rinse with
clean water.
If other cleaning solutions are used, check that they are not abrasive and that they are
compatible with: Cu, Fe, Al alloy, brass, plastic materials of components, labels and gas.
Do not use cleaning solutions containing ammonia!
