5. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND TECHNICAL PARAMETERS

5.1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Product described in this instruction for use (MM40 - STABILIZER) provides constant medical
gas supply of reduced gas with the function of switching over from fi rst to second line.
I1, I2 INLET CONNECTIONS
I1 is an inlet connection intended to supply gas to the reduction unit from high pressure gas
manifold (ex. MM90, MM40). I2 is second optional inlet connection that is intended to supply
gas to the reduction unit from a cryogenic tank. Both inlet connections are equipped with
G1/2"male thread, soldering adapters are part of delivery.
F1, F2 FILTERS
Both inlets I1 and I2 are equipped with fi lters that prevent the reduction unit against entry of
contamination that could further damage the reduction unit.
M1 INLET GAUGE
Inlet gauge M1 indicates parameter of the inlet gas pressure on the inlet side of the unit. If the
parameter of inlet pressure at I1 diff ers from I2, the gauge M1 indicates higher of them.
V1,V2 INLET BALL VALVES
Unit is equipped with two inlet ball valves that open and close supply of gas pressure into each
of the pressure regulators R1, R2.
R1, R2 SECONDARY GAS PRESSURE REGULATORS
MM40 - STABILIZER includes two secondary gas pressure regulators. Gas pressure regulators
reduce the inlet gas pressure supplied from high pressure gas manifold or cryogenic tank to
distribution pressure used in outlet points. One of the gas pressure regulators is always used
as main while second one is closed and ready for use in case the main regulator gets broken.
