 Check the machine for possible damage:
 Before further use of the machine the safety devices
must be checked carefully for their proper and intended
function. Only operate the machine with complete and
correctly attached safety equipment and do not alter
anything on the machine that could impair the safety.
 Check whether movable parts function perfectly and do
not stick or whether parts are damaged. All parts must
be correctly installed and fill all conditions to ensure
perfect operation of the machine.
 Damaged safety devices and parts must be properly
repaired or exchanged by a recognized, specialist
workshop; insofar as nothing else is stated in the
instructions for use.
 Damaged or illegible safety labels have to be replaced.
 Store unused devices in a dry, locked place.

Repairs to other parts of the machine must be carried out
by the manufacturer or one of his customer service points.
Use only original spare parts, accessories and special
accessory parts. Accidents can arise for the user through
the use of other spare parts. The manufacturer is not
liable for any damage or injury resulting from such action.

„Hedge trimmer safety warnings"
 Before trimming, remove all foreign objects (e.g. stones,
branches, wires, etc.). While working watch out for further
foreign objects.
 Take special care when operating close to overhead cables.
 Keep hands and feet away from the cutting device when it
moves.
 Do not use the hedge trimmer to pick up or remove wood
pieces or other objects.
 Stop the hedge trimmer when moving to another work place.
 Always hold the hedge trimmer with both hands - one hand
on the front handle and the other on the rear handle.
 Make sure that you can step back safely without hindrances.
 Adjust the hedge trimmer head to the correct working
position before starting your work.
 Be sure that the cutting tool already moves before you start
cutting.
 Caution! The cutting tool stops delayed after the machine is
switched off. Do not try to slow down the cutting tool by the
hand.
 Switch off the motor and allow the cutting device to come to
a stop when
the cutting tool hits a foreign object,
abnormal operating noise is noticed,
the machine causes abnormal vibration.
Now pull the power plug and take the following actions:
check the machine for damages,
check for loose parts and tighten them if necessary,
replace damaged parts by equivalent parts or have
them repaired.

 Do not use a blunt, broken or otherwise damaged cutting
device.
 Familiarize yourself with your environment and pay attention
to possible dangers which you may not be able to hear
because of the motor noise.

Assembly / disassembly
Fold up the quick locking device (9) and insert the rear
handhold (14) in the receiver of the hedge trimmer (a).
Press the quick locking device (9) down until it clicks into
place.
Telescopic handle
Assembling/disassembling the telescopic handle
Use the telescopic handle for trimming high and wide
hedges as well as ground-cover plants.
Fold up the quick locking device (9) and insert the
telescopic handle (11) in the receiver of the hedge trimmer
(a). Press the quick locking device (9) down until it clicks
into place.
