For disassembly fold up the quick locking device (9) and pull
the telescopic handle out of the receiver.
Adjusting the operating height
Loosen the cap nut (10) and pull or push the
telescopic handle (11) to your desired length.
Retighten the cap nut (10).
Commissioning
Mains connection
Compare the voltage given on the machine model plate e.g.
230 V with the mains voltage and connect the hedge trimmer to
the relevant and properly earthed plug.
Alternating current motor:
Use a shockproof plug, mains voltage 230 V with
residual current circuit breaker 30 mA and 10 A fuses.
Use connection cable or extension cable respectively with a
cross section of at least 1.5 mm².
Mounting of the extension cable
In order to prevent an unintended loosening of the
connection assembly put the extension cable as noose
through the opening on the rear handhold (14) and put it
over the cable mounting (18).
Switch on
Do not use any device where the switch can not be
switched on and off. Damaged switches must be repaired
or replaced immediately by the customer service.
The hedge shears has a two-hand protective shut-down which
prevents an unintended switching on.
Remove the knife protection (23).
Press the trip switch (15) at first. Press then the
ON/OFF switch (16) and with your other hand the switch
button on the front handhold (7).
Release the trip switch (15).
If the machine is used together with the telescopic
handle, it can only be turned on/off on the rear handhold
(14).
Press the trip switch (15) at first. Press then the
ON/OFF switch (16).
Release the trip switch (15).
Switching off
To turn off the machine release either the ON/OFF switch
(15) or the switch button (8) on the front handhold.
The cutting tool stops delayed after the machine is
turned off. Therefore wait until the cutting tool is
stationary before you restart the product.
Adjustments on the hedge trimmer
All settings must be made while the motor is switched off.
Turn handhold
The handhold can be set to 5 working positions (45° raster)
Push the switch (20) backwards in arrow direction.
Turn the rear handhold (14) to your desired position.
Release the switch (20) and make sure that the handhold
clicks into place.
Swivelling the cutting head
The cutting head can be swivelled within a range of 0 to 100
degrees (6 working positions).
Press the unlocking buttons (21) and turn the cutting
head to your desired position.
Release the two buttons and make sure that the cutting
head clicks into place.
Working instructions
You may not start to operate the machine until
you have read these operating instructions,
observed all the instructions given and installed
the machine as described!
Observe all safety instructions in any case.
Before commencing work, ensure the following:
Always keep your hands and feet at a safe
distance to the cutting tool.
Workplace tidied?
Remove unconditionally any foreign objects out of the
hedge (e.g. wires) as these can damage the knives of the
hedge trimmer.
Scare animals off the hedge before starting to cut in order to
prevent them from being injured.
