POWER SENSOR CALIBRATION

Kura can calibrate the internal power measure-
ment system, which clears the system settings
in order to always obtain accurate power values.
The procedure is simple and involves only loa-
ding a small function into the Real software and
in the My E-Training app.
This is accomplished by pedalling and increasing
speed until you reach a certain indicated value.
Remember to stop pedalling at the system
prompt.
After a few seconds the system will indicate that
the calibration process was successful.
This value is then stored in the Kura's memory,
and accurate power data will be received from
every connected device, including non-Elite third
party software / app / devices.

POWER RANGE

Many devices (smartphones, tablets, cycle
computers, GPS devices and so on) use Blueooth
Smart and ANT+ to display data – please check
your hometrainer compatibility with the device.
To display data sent via ANT+ you need to have
an ANT+ GPS device / cycle computer compatible
with the "ANT+ Speed & Cadence" protocol (
) and the "ANT+ Power" protocol (
A list of devices compatible with one or more of
these protocols is available at the ANT+ website

In order to read speed and/or cadence data with
a Bluetooth Smart Ready GPS device / cycle
computer, the device must be compatible with
the "Speed & Cadence" profile for the Bluetooth
Smart protocol. In order to display power data,
the Bluetooth Smart Ready cycle computer /
GPS device must be compatible with the "Power"
profile for the Bluetooth Smart protocol.
CONNECTION WITH APPS /
SOFTWARE / DEVICES
Kura is compatible with the Elite My E-Training
app that can display speed, cadence and power
data.
Additionally, Kura can be connected to any
compatible app/software/device that utilizes
the ANT™+ and Bluetooth Smart protocols,

specifically with the Speed & Cadence and the
Power protocols.
Kura cannot adjust resistance like an interactive
hometrainer; simulation takes place without
automatic resistance variation.

• Kura is equipped with a freehub body compatible
with 9/10/11-speed cassettes by Shimano
SRAM or by other manufacturers that use the

Shimano

An accessory freehub body compatible with
Campagnolo
to replace the original Shimano compatible body
provided on Kura; body replacement instructions
can be found on page 23.
If you are unsure about the type of derailleur on
your bicycle, refer to the bicycle documentation
or contact your dealer to ensure compatibility with
Kura.
• Kura is compatible with bikes with 130 to 135
mm hubs with 5 mm diameter quick release and
with bikes with 12 mm x 142 mm thru-axle hubs.
• Kura cannot adjust resistance like an interactive

• If Kura enters stand-by mode, this indicates
that it is connected to an external power supply
via the USB port and the red LED light will blink
every 5 seconds.
• ANT™+ or Bluetooth Smart protocols are
mutually exclusive and cannot be used simul-
taneously; when a connection to a protocol is
successful, Kura stops exchanging data with the
other protocol.
