SOFTWARE INSTRUCTIONS

This manual contains no software instructions. A
complete software guide will be found in the Help
section of the software itself. The software needs
to be installed in order to access the Help section.
Instructions for the software can be found under the
"Real Turbo Muin B+ use – software installation"
paragraph. Once the software is installed, there
are 2 ways to access the Help section:
- press F1;
- choose "Help – Help content" from the software
menu.

WIRELESS

• The roller utilizes ANT™ Wireless data
transmission technology.
• This technology allows the Real Turbo Muin B+
software to communicate wirelessly with the roller
by using an USB ANT key that connects to the PC.

HEART RATE MONITOR

The Real Turbo Muin B+ includes an internal heart-
rate receiver that allows heart rate frequency
to be monitored and displayed on screen during
training or racing. The Real Turbo Muin B+ heart
rate receiver is compatible with all ANT™+ type
transmitters.

SLOPE

The maximum simulatable slope on the Real Tur-
bo Muin B+ is a function of speed and the weight
of the individual rider. In fact, the power required
to pedal up a slope is function of the speed (fa-
ster= more power) and of the weight (the heavier
the rider, the more power is required to climb any
given slope).
Power range
The power range covered by the roller is very wide
and depends on the speed. The faster you pedal,
the wider the power range. Nevertheless there
may be extreme conditions where the required
power is outside of the range (too high or too low).
In these cases the roller delivers the maximum/
minimum possible, and resumes working cor-
rectly as soon as the conditions return to being
compatible with the power deliverable by the Real
Turbo Muin B+. When the required power is out-
side the available power range, the roller displays
on the monitor the actual power it is producing
and not the theoretical power.
Calibration of On-screen Power and generated
resistance
To understand the power measurement system, it
is necessary to explain that the Real Turbo Muin
B+ is not an ergometer*, and therefore does not
directly measure power generated by a cyclist, but
calculates it using mathematical formulas. Addi-
tionally, there are variables that the software does
not recognize (ie. external temperature, internal
temperature, oil condition and so on), that influen-
ce the power generated by the system. For these
reasons, the on-screen power is variable and is
impossible to determine in advance. If you have an
ergometer*, it is possible to conduct a calibration
procedure with your own bicycle. This procedure,
when conducted with a bicycle, allows for greater
precision and reduced inconsistencies in power
measurement. Consult the Help file (F1 key) for
more information on the calibration procedure.
* Instrument for measuring the power generated
by the rider when pedalling.

CADENCE SENSOR

The Real Turbo Muin B+ uses an innovative "sen-
sorless" system that utilizes a sophisticated cal-
culation based on speed to track pedal cadence.
When maintaining a high pedal cadence at low re-
sistance levels, there may occasionally be a slight
inaccuracy in the cadence value since it is the
result of calculation and not direct monitoring.
This occurs especially with fast pedalling and low
resistance.
If the precision of the "sensorless" system is not
sufficient, it is possible to utilize the included wi-
red sensor.
For installation on the bike, follow the instruc-
tions on the enclosed manual.
To activate the cadence detection via the sensor,
connect the sensor to the Real Turbo Muin B+ be-
fore starting up the hometrainer. Once powered,
rotate the crank a few times. When the magnet is
the sensor's proximity, for a few times, the LED
on the electronic card will emit some higher fre-
quency flashes.
