•
Screw the reservoir onto the injector,
air escapes from the nipple.
N O T E : The upper nut can be loosened to enable
the reservoir to be positioned. When in the desired
position, tighten the upper nut before screwing in
the reservoir.
3.1 Assembly & operating instructions
•
Screw the high pressure pipe into the G
in the front of the injector assembly.
•
Check the oil level in the oil reservoir from the
position of the piston handle. Ensure there is
enough oil for the complete operation. Place
the oil injection set on a lat surface. The spring
loaded oil reservoir allows the injector to be
used in any position. Close the release valve on
the injector (hand-tight is suficient).
•
Ensure that no air is trapped in the system, by
pumping until air-free oil is released from the
end of the high pressure pipe.
Thread the swivel nipple, on the high pressure
pipe, in to the application. If necessary, use any
of the connection nipples that are delivered with
the set.
•
Continue pumping until the required pressure
is reached. To ensure that you do not exceed
the maximum recommended pressure of
300 or 400 MPa (THKI 300 and THKI 400
respectively), check the pressure gauge.
•
Once the component has been mounted/
dismounted, open the release valve to allow the
oil to drain back to the oil reservoir.
•
Unscrew the oil reservoir after using the oil
injector. Drain the oil from the reservoir and
replace back on the oil injector.
N O T E : In the event that oil leaks from under
the underside of the block, this indicates that the

ball on the high pressure pipe has not been seated
correctly. Release pressure and remove the high
pressure pipe. Inspect the ball of the high pressure
pipe for damage.
If damaged then replace the high pressure pipe.
If undamaged, reit the high pressure pipe carefully
and tighten suficiently.
4. Trouble shooting and maintenance
4.1 Unable to build up pressure
This is usually caused by air in the system.
Ensure all pressure connections and joints are
tightened. Ensure that no air is present in the
reservoir,

Gently release the bleeding nut, on the oil reservoir
connector, until air-free oil emerges.
Tighten the nut and try pumping again.

4.2 Removing and replacing the
pressure gauge
To remove the pressure gauge, rotate the lower nut
anticlockwise:
