practitioner immediately.
To determine the correct size:
• Measure the circumference of the residual limb 4 cm from the distal
end (Fig. 1).
• Choose the corresponding liner size. If the measurement taken does
not have a corresponding liner size, round the measurement down.
NOTE: Do not choose a liner size exceeding the measurement, i.e. do
not round up, e.g.: if the residual limb measures 24,5 cm at the indicated
location, choose liner size 23,5, but not size 25.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Trimming: The liner may be trimmed to increase range of motion, or for
user preference (Fig. 2). The Iceross Curvemaster is specifically designed
to produce a smooth, rounded edge when trimming, minimizing the risk
of skin irritation and liner tears.
Precaution: Do not cut the liner below the proximal trim-lines of the
socket. Excessive trimming may reduce the suction between the liner and
limb, and compromise suspension.
Distal Attachment:
Precaution: Caution must be taken to properly tighten the attachment pin
to the distal attachment.
Warnings:
• Always apply Loctite 410/411 or equivalent compound to the threads of
the Össur attachment pin (used with Icelock 562 Hybrid) and torque
to 4 Nm (3ft.lbs).
• Do not use flangeless pins with the liner (Fig. 3).
Donning:
Precautions:
• Failure to adhere to these instructions may compromise comfort and/
or suspension.
• Do not apply lotion to the residual limb immediately prior to donning
the liner. To prevent liner damage, the residual limb should be clean
and dry.
• Open wounds or damaged skin should be covered with a bandage or
other appropriate covering to prevent direct contact between the
wound and liner.
• Ensure the inside of the liner is clean, dry, and free from any foreign
objects that may cause skin irritation.
1. The liner should be oriented with the logo on the front of the residual
limb (Fig. 4).
2. Grip the top of the liner from the inside and slide it over the hand
until the inner surface is fully exposed, taking care not to damage it
with fingernails (Fig. 5).
3. After exposing as much of the distal end of the liner as possible,
position it against the distal end of the residual limb (Fig. 6).
NOTE: Make sure the pin is positioned centrally on the distal end of
the residual limb (Fig. 9).
4. With light compression, roll the liner all the way upwards onto the
limb (Fig. 7, 8), taking care not to damage it with fingernails. Do not
tug or pull.
