Product life
The pads should be used for a maximum of six months to prevent the
material wearing out. The same applies to medical compression
stockings.
Important general instructions
The described modes of action for medi lymph pads shall remain
effective for a maximum of 6 months, i.e. the lifetime of medical
compression stockings. Correct care and handling is required to ensure
that the products remain fully effective during this period.
Important instructions for use
We recommend that the various types of lymph pad be implemented
as follows:
Ribbed lymph pad:
• Lymphoedema in legs (standard) and arms
Fine nap lymph pad:
• Lymphoedema in arms and hands (standard) and legs
Coarse nap lymph pad:
• for lipoedema (for thighs)
The pad should be placed with the patterned side (napped or ribbed)
against the skin and bandaged.
Storage instructions
Store in a dry place.
Keep out of direct sunlight.
Instruction booklet
Please put on your medical compression stockings and socks with
lymph pad attachments in accordance with the instructions given by
the medical specialist retailer, or according to the detailed description
in the mediven instructions for use for medical compression stockings.
For experts:
The medi lymph pads can be used in full sheet format (20 cm x 29.5 cm,
DIN A4 format) or cut to the desired size.
If coverage of a large surface is required, then several pads can be
connected using medical adhesive tape.
The patterned side of the pad is placed onto the skin and then is
bandaged in place.
Thus medi lymph pads save time as rubber foam cubes or strips do not
have to be produced, which takes more time.
Care and washing instructions
Please wash and clean your medical compression stockings and socks
in accordance with the instructions of the medical specialist retailer,
the detailed description in the mediven instructions for use for medical
compression stockings or the information on the sewn-in label.
The attached lymph pad is washed with the compression product
during hand or machine washing and drying.
Using disinfectant may have an undesirable effect on the foam
material in the medi lymph pad and may damage its stability and
shape.
Material composition
SBR latex, foam created via air bubbles = styrene butadine rubber
Disposal
Please dispose of medi lymph pads as you would normal household
waste. There are no specific criteria for disposal.
