15. Changing the batteries and Power loss
15.1 Changing the batteries
The batteries in detectors will last typically 6 months. For a PIR-detector in a
room where there is much movement, this period can be shorter. A weak
battery will be indicated by flashing of the detector LED every 3-6 seconds
and the first number stored in SMS 6 receives an SMS. Replace the batteries
as soon as possible to ensure continued operation. After the low battery
warning starts the detector will operate for a maximum of 3 weeks (assuming
no detection within this period). If the remote control becomes weak the
battery is weak and must be replaced.
! Disarm the panel.
! Open the housing (the screw [40] is under a little black rubber plug).
! Replace the batteries with suitable new ones.
Open and close the housing of the remote control with care, to ensure
that the LED cover and PCB do not slip out of place.
15.2 Power Loss
If numbers are stored in SMS 6 then the first stored number receives an SMS:
# upon power loss or when the mains adapter is disconnected
# when the power is reconnected
# after a longer period of power loss before the back up battery is almost
fully discharged (standby period up to 10 hours).
16. Connection of optional wired
components
Wired components can be connected to the connection terminals [13]. Use a
2 core cable ( thickness 0.22-0.8 mm) maximum 100 m per zone. Connect
only when the DC connection from the mains adapter [21] is disconnected.

On the 24 hour-Zone 1 (Z1/GND) max. 5 detectors with potential free NC
contacts can be connected. The zone alarms when the condition of the zone
changes, when the system is armed, part armed, or disarmed. It can be used
for detector such as smoke detector RA300i(R) or gas detector GA90-230V
On the alarm-Zone 2 (Z2/GND) max. 5 detectors with potential free NC
contacts can be connected. The zone alarms when the condition of the zone
changes, when the system is armed. Even when a delay is set the wired
components always trigger alarm immediately. It can be used for detectors
such as reed contact MK01.
Note:
An alarm on Zone 1 or 2 will be indicated by flashing key 1 or 2 [6] and an
SMS text.

electric door release
AS05
The output PUSH (PUSH/GND) switches to 12 Volt (open collector output,
max load 500 mA) for 5 seconds when the system is disarmed. It could be
used for controling an electric door release.
Note the polarity and maximum loading, otherwise the transistor
output will overload.
A wired siren (eg. AS05) or strobe (eg. BL02) can be connected to the siren
outputSPK (SPK/GND). In alarm this output switches to 12 Volt (open
collector output, max. load 500 mA) for the set alarm period, or until
disarming. This output remains active when the siren volume is set to zero.
Note the polarity and maximum loading, otherwise the transistor
output will overload.
17. Wireless range
Note that the wireless range of each component can differ. The range is
dependent on various factors. A reduction in range can be caused by the
following:
# Walls and floors, especially those containing metal, metalised foil,
reinforced concete or stone
# Coated windows (eg. Energy saving windows), radiators, refridgerators,
mirrors, metalic surfaces or doors
# Electrical wiring and electrical appliances (eg. motors, microwave
ovens)
# Devices using the same or similar wireless frequency.

19. Maintenance + cleaning
# Regularly check the technical safety and function
# Before you clean the device, pull the mains adapter out of the mains
socket and remove the batteries.
