Switching the panic alarm On / Off:

After 30 seconds the siren sounds for a second

The alarm unit sounds a pip and the alarm is now
switched off.
Note: Whilst the alarm unit is dialling a telephone number,
i.e. it is establishing a telephone connection, the panic
alarm cannot be disarmed using the keys on the device.
The remote control can be used to disarm the device at
any time.
Advice on the use of the panic alarm
The range of the remote control radio signals depends
on the construction of the building. Test the func-
tioning of the remote control from different locations
in the house. Take note of the locations from which
the remote control functions reliably. This should
give you an accurate picture of the effective operat-
ing radius of the remote control. you can alter the
position of the MA80, if necessary by the use of a
telephone extension cable.
Carry out an alarm test with all the people on the
call list and instruct them about what they should
do if they receive an "emergency" call.
