GENERAL HINTS FOR
TREATMENT
Contra-indication
Patients suffering from chronic bronchitis
or asthma must not, under any circumstances, be
treated with an air polishing device. The jet of air
and powder could cause respiratory difficulties.
Patients on a low salt diet must not be
treated with the powder containing sodium bicar-
bonate. For patients on a law salt diet use the
powder without sodium bicarbonate provided by
EMS.
Information about powders
The aromatic powder provided by EMS can
lead, in specific cases, to allergic reactions to the
flavor. For patients known to suffer such reactions,
use the powder without flavor provided by EMS.
Do not direct the jet of powder toward fillings,
crowns or bridgework as this could damage these
restorations.
The powder containing sodium bicarbonate
provided by EMS can be used only for supra-
gingival application. For sub-gingival application,
please use the specific powder provided by EMS
and refer to its operation instructions.
Never use an abrasive powder i.e. silica or
alumina based. This would damage the unit.
The powders provided by EMS are espe-
cially designed for use with the unit. Do not use
powders from other manufacturers as this could
damage the unit or could adversely affect its effi-
ciency.

Contre-indication
Les patients souffrant de bronchite chronique
ou d'asthme ne doivent en aucun cas être traités
avec un aéropolisseur. Le jet d'air et de poudre
pourrait provoquer des difficultés respiratoires.
Les patients soumis à un régime pauvre en
sel ne doivent pas être traités avec de la poudre
composée de bicarbonate de sodium. Pour les
patients soumis à un régime pauvre en sel, utiliser
la poudre sans bicarbonate de sodium fournie par
EMS.
Informations sur les poudres
La poudre aromatisée fournie par EMS peut
conduire, dans certains cas isolés, à l'apparition de
réactions allergiques à l'arôme. Pour les patients
chez lesquels de telles réactions sont connues,
utiliser la poudre sans arôme fournie par EMS.
Ne pas diriger le jet de poudre vers une
obturation, une couronne ou un bridge car cela
pourrait endommager ces restaurations.
La poudre composée de bicarbonate de
sodium fournie par EMS ne peut être utilisée qu'en
application supra-gingivale. Pour une application
sous-gingivale, veuiller utiliser la poudre spéci-
fique fournie par EMS et vous référer à son mode
d'emploi.
Ne jamais utiliser de poudre abrasive par
ex. à base de silice ou d'alumine. Cela endom-
magerait l'appareil.
Les poudres fournies par EMS sont spécia-
lement conçues pour être utilisées avec le produit.
Ne pas utiliser de poudre provenant d'autres fabri-
cants car le produit pourrait être endommagé ou
son efficacité compromise.

Kontraindikationen
Patienten, die unter chronischer Bronchitis
oder Asthma leiden, dürfen auf keinen Fall mit
dem Pulverstrahlgerät behandelt werden, da der
Luft/Pulverstrahl Atembeschwerden hervorrufen
kann.
Patienten, welche eine salzarme Diät halten
müssen, dürfen nicht mit dem Pulver, welches
Natriumbikarbonat enthält, behandelt werden. Bei
Patienten, die eine salzarme Diät halten müssen,
benutzen Sie bitte das Pulver ohne Natriumbikar-
bonat von EMS.
Generelle Informationen
Das aromatisierte Pulver, welches von EMS
angeboten wird, kann in besonderen Fällen zu
einer allergischen Reaktion auf den Geschmack
führen. Bei Patienten, die solche Reaktionen
entwickeln können, sollten Sie das Pulver ohne
Geschmack, welches von EMS angeboten wird,
benutzen.
Richten Sie den Pulverstrahl nicht auf
Füllungen oder Kronen und Brücken, da dies die
Restaurationen beschädigen könnte.
Das Pulver, welches Natriumbikarbonat
enthält und von EMS angeboten wird, darf nur
supra-gingival angewandt werden. Für sub-gingi-
valen Einsatz benutzen Sie bitte das spezifische
Pulver, welches von EMS empfohlen wird, und
lesen Sie bitte die Anleitungen.
Verwenden Sie nie abrasives Pulver wie
Aluminium Oxid oder Silika in Ihrem Produkt, da
es dadurch beschädigt wird.
Die EMS-Pulver wurden speziell für den
Gebrauch mit dem Produkt entwickelt. Verwenden
Sie keine Fremdprodukte, da es sonst beschä-
digt oder in seiner Leistung beeinflusst werden
kann.
