If the inverter-s critical load output is not used, it is recommended to disable the Battery-backup function. This
way, in the event of a distribution grid failure, the unit will remain stopped to avoid discharging the battery.

18.7.9. Configuring the auxiliary generator in stand-alone installations

In stand-alone installations these inverters can operate with an auxiliary generator that is connected in the event of
a power deficit and/or to charge the battery.
To configure the generator parameters, access Configuration > Advanced Settings > Generator Settings and enter
the parameters.

The generator can start automatically using a command through a digital output in the inverter. For this, the digital

18.7.10. Configuring the battery charge from the generator

To charge the batteries from the auxiliary generator, you must establish the maximum battery charge power. To
configure this parameter:
1. Go to Configuration > Advanced Settings > Operation Mode > Maximum battery charging power from the
Grid.
2. Enter the maximum power in watts. If you do not want to charge the batteries from the generator, enter
0 watts.
This way, whenever the inverter is connected to the generator the batteries are charged until reaching the SOC Off
state of charge and until the battery voltage is above its rated voltage.

Allows activating the generator once the state of charge reaches the SOC On parameter or
when the battery voltage is below its minimum voltage. The generator is switched off once the
state of charge reaches the SOC Off parameter and when the battery voltage is above its rated
voltage. This option is always activated by default and cannot be deactivated.
When this function is activated, the generator will be switched on/off every day during a range
of defined hours.
When this function is activated, the generator is switched on/off according to the power
consumed by the loads in a set time.
This allows you to switch the generator on/off manually and immediately. The generator will
continue to run until the shut-down is ordered by the same method.
Allows to start the generator once a battery overvoltage has been determined. It is considered
battery overvoltage when the maximum discharge current of the battery is exceeded twice.
The generator is switched off once the state of charge reaches the SOC Off parameter. This
option is always activated by default and cannot be deactivated.
Allows switching on the generator once it has been determined that the inverter cannot
generate an optimal AC voltage in the load output. (See parameter Vac L1 Limit in
Configuring the overvoltage and short circuit protection in the critical load
