5.4 Removing bathlift from the
bath
1. Drain off all water from the bath.
2. Lower the AQUATEC FORTUNA by
pressing the DOWN button (5, figure 13)
(1, figure 11) until the backrest reaches
the stop.
3. To remove the battery, hold it at the han-
dle plate (1, figure 10) and pull it slightly
upwards to disengage the locking mecha-
nism. Then remove it from the battery
compartment (2, figure 11).
Important!
When folding the backrest, ensure that
the curled cable of the hand control is
not damaged.
4. With one hand, hold the backrest at the
head end.
5. With the other hand, press the grey lock-
ing device (5, figure 9) towards the base
plate and hold it in this position.
The spindle foot is unlocked.
6. Fold the backrest slightly forward until the
spindle foot (3, figure 9) is removed from
the spindle foot support (4, figure 9).
7. Release the locking device.
8. With the free hand, hold the spindle
(1, figure 9) at its foot.
9. Fold over backrest until it touches the
seat (3, figure 11) while carefully pulling
the spindle backwards and around the
spindle holder (2, figure 9).
10. Press the spindle into the spindle catch
(3, figure 8).

Important!
When lifting the bathlift components,
please remember that the seat has a
weight of approx. 8 kg, while the back-
rest weighs approx. 4.5 kg (without
battery).
11. Lift backrest slightly by holding it at the
head end.
12. Pull the backrest forward to disengage it
from the hinges at the seat (4, figure 11).
13. Lift the backrest from the bath.
14. Fold sidefolds of the seat inwards
(5, figure 11).
Important!
Release suction cups at the rear simul-
taneously!
15. To do this, pull the straps of the suction
cups (10, figure 1).
16. Lift the rear end of the seat (6, figure 11).
The suction cups at the front are thereby
released.
Important!
If your bathlift is equipped with height
adapters (optional accessory), the suc-
tion cups at the front must be released
by pulling the straps.
17. Lift the seat from the bath.
18. Store all components of the AQUATEC
FORTUNA in a suitable room.
