Setting up

4.1

Determining the seat height

CAUTION!
Danger of slipping due to inclined seat
Calculation and setting of the seat height
must be carried out by a specialist.
Important!
Both of the user's feet must stand on the
ground when seated (figure 3).
1.
Choose a normal chair on which the user can sit
comfortably.
2.
Let the user sit down on the chair.
3.
Measure the height of the seat surface (figure 3).
4.
Use the following table to determine the number of
adapters required for the folding shower seat.
Height of seat surface Number of adapters
Up to 460 mm
461 to 484 mm
485 to 507 mm
508 to 530 mm
4.2

Attaching the adapters

Important!
Prior to assembly, determine the number of
adapters as described in section 4.1.
1.
Insert the adapter from below into the leg frame or
into an adapter already fitted (figure 4) until the
lug engages in the catch.
2.
Check that the adapter is firmly fitted. To do so pull
the adapter.

4.3

Fitting the feet

Important!
P
If adapters are used, insert the foot last of
all (figure 4).
P
The base plate (2, fig. 4) must be almost
entirely screwed into the block with the
thread (1, fig. 4).
1.
Insert the foot (4, fig. 5) from below into the leg
frame (1, fig. 5) or into an adapter already fitted,
until the lug (3, fig. 5) engages in the catch (2,
fig. 5).
2.
Check that the foot is firmly fitted. To do so pull the
foot.
4.4

Mounting the seat on the wall

CAUTION!
Danger of slipping due to loose folding
shower seat
P
Mount the folding shower seat on dry
mortarless walls only in combination
with a strengthening plate for wall-hang-
ing loads.
P
The folding shower seat must be mount-
ed by a specialist.
Important!
The choice of fastening material depends on
the condition of the wall. No fastening material
is supplied.
1.
Select five screws and washers made of stainless
steel and five wall plugs.
2.
Place a rail over the shower basin and determine
the basin depth (T) (fig. 6).
3.
Calculate where the drilling template needs to be
cut off (fig. 7).
To do so use the following formula:
H = 291 mm + (number of adapters x 23 mm)
(in mm)
H is the calculated cutting height; the drilling tem-
plate must be cut off here.
291 mm is height of the leg frame with foot.
23 mm is the height of an adapter.
T is the calculated basin depth.
Calculation example with 2 adapters and
140 mm basin depth (T):
H = 291 mm + (2 x 23 mm)
T
140 mm = 197 mm
