6.1.2 Lowering
Important!
When the button for lifting/lowering
is released, the lift is automatically
stopped.
If the seat is already fully lowered,
the backrest is folded backwards.
Press the DOWN button (5, figure 13) at the
hand control (4, figure 13).
The seat is lowered (2, figure 14), and the
backrest is folded backwards (1, figure 14).
6.1.3 EMERGENCY-STOP
Important!
Press the EMERGENCY-STOP button
only in the case of an emergency.
Such a situation might occur when the UP or
DOWN button is jammed. In such a case,
press the EMERGENCY-STOP button
(1, figure 13).
All movements of the AQUATEC FORTUNA
are immediately stopped.
When the EMERGENCY-STOP button is
released, the AQUATEC FORTUNA can
again be operated normally, provided that no
repairs are needed.

6.2 Using the bathlift
CAUTION!
Sliding of seat if suction cups are not
properly fixed
Prior to using the bathlift, ensure
that it is securely positioned and
cannot tilt. Also check the position of
the AQUATEC FORTUNA in the
bath and ensure that the spindle foot
is properly inserted into the spindle
foot support.
The AQUATEC FORTUNA must be installed
in the bath as described in chapter 5.3.
1. Press the UP button (3, figure 13) to lift
the seat to the height of the edge of the
bath.
The sidefolds are folded out and laying on the
bathtub rim.
2. Fill the bath with water and check the
temperature.
3. Sit down on the sideflap nearest to you as
if you would sit down on a chair.
4. Move yourself towards the centre of the
seat.
5. Turn yourself so that you can be comfort-
ably lowered into the water. Lift one leg
after the other over the rim of the bathtub.
6. Press the DOWN button (5, figure 13) to
lower yourself into the water.
