General instructions
1.1 Introduction
This operating manual contains information
and instructions regarding the safe and
proper use of your AQUATEC FORTUNA
bathlift.
By following these instructions, you prevent
risk and enhance the service life of your
AQUATEC FORTUNA.
In the text, we refer to graphics and individual
items in figures. These references are shown
in brackets.
Example: (3, Fig. 1) refers to figure 1, item 3.
Keep the documents supplied with your
AQUATEC FORTUNA in a safe place for
future reference.
1.2 Proper use
The AQUATEC FORTUNA is designed
exclusively for the lowering and lifting of per-
sons in a bathtub.
Any other use is forbidden.
Never use the AQUATEC FORTUNA as an
aid to climb in or out of the bath, as a support,
lifting platform or other similar purposes.
1.3 Warranty
Your AQUATEC FORTUNA comes with
3 year AQUATEC warranty.
Not covered by warranty are the covers, suc-
tion cups and the battery.
The warranty period begins at the date of
delivery as shown on the AQUATEC docket.
1.4 Repeat use/reconditioning
The AQUATEC FORTUNA is designed for
repeat use and can be easily moved from one
bath to another. The maximum number of
repeat uses depends on the general state
and condition of the device.

For the reconditioning of the AQUATEC
FORTUNA always comply with the relevant
reworking and hygiene instructions of
AQUATEC. These instructions are available
on request from AQUATEC.
1.5 Disposal
Important!
The AQUATEC FORTUNA does not
contain any hazardous substances.
To dispose of your AQUATEC FORTUNA,
comply with the applicable statutory waste
regulations. Certain parts of the device are
identified as to their material and can be
returned for recycling.
Damaged or spent batteries must be dis-
posed of through the local recycling scheme.
1.6 CE mark
The AQUATEC FORTUNA complies with EU
Directive 93/42/EEC for medical equipment.
