2.4 Instructions for maintenance
and servicing
When cleaning the AQUATEC
FORTUNA, take precautions to pre-
vent injury at the swivelling parts of
the device and between the lifting
scissors.
Never clean the backrest with a
power hose.
For cleaning, use only solvent-free
household detergents.
The temperature of the water may
not exceed 60 °C.
All repairs to the AQUATEC
FORTUNA must be completed by an
authorised dealer.
2.5 Instructions for recharging of
battery
Protect battery against fire and heat.
Do not dispose of by burning.
Do not open the battery.
If the battery is damaged, diluted sul-
phuric acid might come into contact
with skin and clothing. Immediately
wash with plenty of water.
In the event of eye contact with
diluted sulphuric acid, immediately
rinse eye with plenty of water and
consult a physician.
Do not touch the contacts of the bat-
tery with objects made in conducting
materials (e.g. knitting needles). Do
not immerse the battery in water.

Recharge the battery after each use
of the device, using the supplied
charger. Do not use any other
recharging device.
If the device is not used for a pro-
longed period of time, recharge the
battery once every month to prolong
its service life.
To recharge the battery, move it to a
dry room (do not recharge in the
bathroom).
Dispose of spent batteries according
to the statutory regulations.
Do not use the battery for any pur-
pose other than the operation of the
AQUATEC FORTUNA. Do not use
the charger to recharge any other
batteries than that supplied with your
bathlift.
Insert the battery in the charger and
connect the charger to the power
mains.
