- The installation room must be safe from frost, ventilated and
adequately lit.
- Install in a horizontal and flat position.
- Follow the dimensions given in the installation plan
(FIG. 1 to 4).
- Before installing the unit affix the enclosed insulating strips to the
appropriate areas (FIG. 5.a).
- Lifting gear must be securely fixed in place. The unit is to be fixed
to the ground using the two handles on the sides of the vessel and
the fasteners provided (FIG. 6) :
a : Insulating strip fixing angle.
b : Hexagon screw with plastic dowel Ø10, drill hole 10 mm.
The installation must be horizontal ! Check it
ATTENTION !
before fixing.
5.1 Connecting the pipes
- All pipes must be assembled when the pump is switched off, must
be sound-proofed and must be flexible. No pipe forces or moment
may act on the unit and the pipes must be secured and
supported such that neither tensile nor compressive forces act on
the unit.
- Lay all pipes such that they can drain automatically. Do not lay
any narrow pipe parts in the direction of flow.
- At the time of the connection of the used water sanitary
appliances, it is essential to respect the mini dimension of 180 mm
(see tank)
- The low point of the siphon should not be to position with less than
180 mm.
- Connect all pipes carefully. Tighten all connections with hose
clamps carefully (starting torque 5 Nm !).
- An additional shut-off valve is required in the inlet pipe before the
vessel and after the pressure pipe backflow (FIG. 8).

5.1.1 Discharge piping

The pressure piping and all its components must be able to safely
withstand all operating pressures that may arise.
Depending on the operating conditions, the
ATTENTION !
pressure peaks (e.g. when the flap trap is closed)
may considerably exceed the pump pressure. Therefore, in addition
to the relevant resistance to pressure, consideration must also be
given to connecting elements in the piping that are actuated by
axial forces !
In order to protect against possible reflux from the public mains drain
the pressure piping must be shaped like a "pipe loop" and the
underside of this loop at the highest point must be situated above
the locally established reflux level (generally street level) (cf. also
FIG. 10).
5.1.2 Connections to the vessel (FIG. 7)
Inlets :
• on both side walls (DN100, DN150).
• on the left-and/or right-hand side of the rear wall (DN100, DN150).
• on the top of the vessel (DN100, DN40).
Ventilation pipe :
• on one of the two DN70 connecting sleeves on the top of the
vessel.
Emergency drainage pipe connection (manual diaphragm pump) :
• on one of the four submerged DN40 connecting sleeves.
DN100 and DN150 inlets
Only connect DN100 and DN150 supply lines at the points intended
for that purpose on the vessel (flat surfaces), i.e. those points
labelled in FIG. 7. The hole produced using the circular cutter must
lie within the depicted range.
Connecting the supply line to points other than
ATTENTION !
those indicated in FIG. 7 can lead to leaks and
affect the operation of the unit !
The horizontal notches on the vessel act as a guide for the 180 mm
and 250 mm connecting heights (pipe centre). They are not to be
used as a starting point for the circular cutter across the entire
length !
Other connecting heights than 180 mm are infinitely possible.
Supply connections below 180 mm are possible,
ATTENTION !
but will cause a corresponding reflux in the
supply line! If the distance between the upper edge of the floor and
the base of the pipe is less than 100 mm, the piping will no longer be
able to drain fully !
The inlet seal and circular cutter for a DN100 supply line are
enclosed. The connection sets for DN150 and for the inlet seal for
further DN100 supply lines are available as accessories.
A DN100 connection may be affixed to the top of the vessel at the
central marking provided for the Ø124 mm circular cutter.
• Making the supply connection (FIG. 8) :
Tools required :
- enclosed DN100 or DN150 special circular cutter.
- variable-speed hand drill with right- and left-hand rotation
Steps :
1) Produce the circular cut in the vessel using a drill and circular
cutter :
- Position the cut such that the inlet hole lies within the areas
indicated (FIG. 7).
- Make sure the chipping remover is clean! If the chipping
remover is not clean, the material in the vessel will heat up and
melt on; stop the cutting process and allow to cool for a short
time; reduce the speed, vary the rapid-motion pressure and if
necessary change the direction of rotation (left-hand rotation
max. 200 rpm) until the chipping remover is clean.
In the meantime check the cut diameter is Ø 124
ATTENTION !
mm for DN100 or Ø 175 for DN150 as this governs
the watertightness of the pipe connection.
- Deburr the newly created hole.
2) Insert the inlet seal into the vessel wall. Make sure the seal is
correctly seated !
3) Push the supply pipe into the inlet seal; first slide the hose clamp
onto the pipe and dampen the pipe and seal with a suitable
antiseize agent (FIG. 8.c).
4) Fit the pipe perpendicular to the vessel wall (90° ± 5°).
5) Secure the supply pipe and inlet seal using a hose clamp.
Aeration DN70
The ventilation pipe prescribed by EN12050-1 is connected to the
first of the two DN40/DN70 combined connecting pieces on the top
of the vessel using the enclosed Konfix connector. The connecting
sleeve hole is created by sawing away the bottom of the base
(FIG. 9). Remove burrs and other superfluous material.
To connect the ventilation pipe open the Konfix connector by
tearing at the bracket. The ventilation pipe is simply pushed on.
Secure the Konfix connector using the enclosed hose clamp.
Connecting a manual diaphragm pump
In principle we recommend installing a manual diaphragm pump
(accessory) to allow the vessel to be drained in an emergency. For
this, there is a choice of four Ø 50 connecting sleeves near the base.
The connection is made using the enclosed DN50 hose. The
connecting sleeve hole is created by sawing away the bottom of
the base or using a suitable circular cutter (FIG. 9). Remove burrs
and other superfluous material. Make the connections carefully
using the enclosed hose and hose clamps.
DN 40 inlets
A DN40 inlet can be connected to the second of the two
combination DN40/DN70 connecting pieces on the top of the
