3. Power light
4. Heating light
5. Batter spreader
6. Crepe turner
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
1. Remove all packaging material.
2. Place the base on a heat-resistant and level surface. Position the baking plate onto the base and make sure
it sits well and stable.
3. Operate the appliance before first use for approximately 10 minutes in order to burn off production residues.
Make sure there is good ventilation. The appliance may emit some smoke and a characteristic smell when
you switch it on for the first time. This is normal and will stop soon.
4. Clean the baking plate after it has cooled down completely.
USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Put the plug into a power outlet.
2. Switch the thermostat control knob to the position "Max". Preheat till the heating light turns off.
3. Place a scoop full of batter onto the baking plate. To determine the correct volume of batter, put as much
batter onto the baking plate as is required to cover about 2/3 of the baking plate. Make sure that the batter
does not run over the edge of the baking plate. You may reduce or increase the volume of batter for the next
crepe.
4. Evenly spread the batter over the baking plate using the batter spreader. The batter should be spread thinly
over the baking plate.
5. Adjust the thermostat to a desired temperature. The heating light turns off when the set temperature has
been attained and turns on when the appliance heats up again to reach the temperature.
6. Once the batter becomes dry, flip the batter over using the crepe turner.
7. After approx. 45 seconds, remove the crepe from the baking plate with the crepe turner.
8. Repeat the process for more crepes.
9. After use, switch the thermostat control knob to the position "Off" and unplug the appliance.
Note:
The power light illuminates as long as the power is connected.
After every use, dip the batter spreader in water. This will help better spread the batter.
The given baking time is just for reference. The baking time varies with individual taste.
Caution!
Do not coat or garnish the crepe when it is on the baking plate.
Do not cut the crepe when it is on the baking plate.
Do not use sharp or metallic utensils to turn the crepe or lift it from the baking plate. This could cause
irreparable damage to the baking plate.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the appliance and allow cooling before moving and/or cleaning.
Wipe the baking plate with a damp cloth. Clean the batter spreader and crepe turner in warm soapy water,
and then rinse them. Dry all the parts thoroughly before use.
