b) Programming the Speed Controller
• Switch on the transmitter. Pull the throttle lever into the „full throttle" position and hold it there.
• Connect the drive battery to the speed controller (the throttle lever is still in the „full throttle" position). First, there are
two short signal sounds, followed by a short sound sequence (melody) after five seconds. The throttle lever still has
to be in the full throttle position.
• After the described sound signals, the speed controller has entered programming mode. Four different parameters
can be set (see chapter 11 or 11. a).
These parameters are repeated in an endless loop. The first setting option is provided for selection with one beep.
Then the speed controller switches to the second setting option and signals this with 2 signal sounds, etc. to the
fourth setting option with 4 signal sounds.
Then the described sound sequence (melody) follows and the first setting option is offered again. The setting op-
tions available can be taken from the table at the beginning of chapter 11.
• When the function that you want to programme is signalled acoustically, move the throttle lever at your transmitter to
the neutral position (motor off). The speed controller now switches to the selected function. Leave the throttle lever
in the neutral position.
• There are up to eight setting options for each function (see table). These setting options are indicated with signal
sounds again. Each setting is acoustically reported by the assigned signal sequence (number of short and long
sounds) (another endless loop). The signal sounds that cause each function change can be taken from the table at
the beginning of chapter 11.
• When the correct setting is signalled by sounds, put the throttle lever into the full throttle position when saving these
settings. The lever must be kept in this position until the speed controller confirms successful programming by a
sound sequence (melody).
If you want to make additional settings, continue to keep the throttle lever in the full throttle position. The programme
item just saved is then signalled. Further programming is performed as described using the endless loop of the
4 possible setting options.
• If you want to save your programming (or cancel it) and not start driving at once, disconnect the drive battery with
the throttle lever still pulled (full throttle position).
Alternatively, you may save your programmed settings and start driving immediately if you put the throttle lever in
the neutral position at once after a programme step was confirmed by the sound sequence (melody). A confirmation
sound is issued as well as a melody. Then you can start up driving again with the re-programmed speed controller.
