To prevent data from being transferred, remove the net-
work cable from the inverter or deactivate data transfer
in the Settings for Ethernet (→ Page 31).
5.10.2 Connecting the RS485 bus

As the data cable, ensure that you are using a Cat-5
patch cable that is suitable for the length of the connec-
tion.

Ensure that the pin assignment for the data cable com-
plies with the following specifications:

Risk of destruction of the RS485 bus input at the inverter:
Do not assign the plug with a 24 V DC contact.

Connect the data cable to a RS485-Bus (RJ45 bush) on
the inverter.
4.
Connect the data cable to an approved product for dy-
namic feed-in management, for example.
5.
If required, ensure that the RS485-Bus terminates at
the inverter.
5.10.2.1 Using an alternative data cable for the
RS485 bus

Ensure that the total length of the RS485 bus does not
exceed 100 m.
2.
Ensure that the specified plug assignment is used when
using the alternative data cable to connect an external
product to the RJ45 bush on the first inverter.

Where possible, use the Schneider iEM3155 energy
meter with the Modbus data cable from the manufac-
turer of the product.

If you are using a different energy meter or a different
data cable, ensure that the pin assignment complies
with the specifications:
