❐ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily fl ammable dust or toxic and explo-
sive vapours.
❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. In the event of defects, the device
may not be used until it has been repaired by a qualifi ed professional.
❐ Only use the device if it has been properly assembled and is fully functional!

Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device

❐ Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come
into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
❐ Always work with suffi cient lighting.
❐ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from the
manufacturer.
❐ Never remove the water tank cap when the device is in use! Always make sure that
the water tank is completely closed before you use the device.
❐ Never use the device without water.
❐ Do not overfi ll the water tank. Do not fi ll the tank with water above the MAX mark.
❐ Never add cleaners or other additives to the water tank of the device. They may irrep-
arably damage the device and as such, the safe operation of the device can no longer
be assured. Use cold, distilled water or cold tap water to fi ll the device.
❐ Never cover the steam vent, do not place it on soft bases (which may block it), and
do not insert any objects in it.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or ovens to prevent dam-
age to the device.
❐ Never use the cleaning head without the fl oor cleaning adapter!
❐ Check the cleaning cloths for wear each time before you use them. Do not use the
cleaning cloths if they are visibly worn or damaged!
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Always test the device on a small, inconspicuous area fi rst.
❐ Never apply the vapour stream to one area continuously for more than approx. 10 –
20 seconds. Otherwise, it could damage the surface.
❐ Do not use the device on cold glass surfaces. The hot steam could rupture the glass.
❐ Surfaces, which have been treated with wax, may lose their coat due to heat and steam!
❐ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products or cleaning pads to clean the device.
❐ When cleaning the device, no liquid may penetrate it. It could cause considerable
damage to the device.
❐ Do not wind the mains cord too tightly around the hooks for the cable winder. It could
be damaged as a result.
❐ Store the device in a clean, dry, and cool area that is not accessible to children.
Always allow the device to cool off completely and empty the water tank before you
stow the device.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
