7. Installation and Connection
The connection cables must not be kinked or squashed. This can result in malfunctions,
short circuits and defects in the device.
Mounting and connection is only permitted when powered down.
• First turn out the attachment screw (10) at the bottom (7). Then remove the mounting plate
from the code lock.
• Push the open ends of the connection cable through the rubber seal of the opening (12) in the
rear from the inside.
• Depending on mounting site, you need to drill a corresponding hole for the connection cable;
diameter approx. 10 mm. Ensure that no wires or lines are damaged when drilling.
If the connection cable is too short (depending on thickness of the wall), you need to extend
the connection cable accordingly.
Use cables of the same colour. If this is not possible, always use cables with 12 different
colours.
Write down the colour assignment and keep this information together with these operating
instructions.
The wiring should never take place next to the code lock, but in a way that protects it
from manipulation.
• Two openings (11, 15) can be used to install the mounting plate on the wall; the oval opening
(15) must point down. Use suitable screws and, if applicable, dowels for attachment. When
drilling or tightening screws, ensure that no wires or lines are damaged.
• Use the jumper (14) to choose if output #2 is to work as an NC or NO contact.
NC contact (normally closed): The contact for output #2 is opened when activated.
NO contact (normally open): The contact for output #2 is closed when activated.
