Tips and recommendations
If the points of use have not been equipped with thermostatic mixers, install a temperature
limiter at the water heater outlet to reduce the risk of scalding:
•
For bathrooms, the maximum tap water temperature is 50 °C.
•
In all other rooms, the maximum tap water temperature is 60 °C.
For hard-water regions (Th > 20°f), water treatment is recommended. With a
water softener, the water hardness must remain above 8°f. The water softener
does not give rise to a waiver of our warranty, provided that it is approved for
France by CSTB, and set in accordance with good engineering practices, and
regularly checked and serviced.
Directive no. 2001-1220 as from 20 December 2001 and circular DGS/SD 7A

Refrigerant connection
Refer to the section entitled "refrigerant connection".
5.8.
Electrical connection
Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the cover.
Never connect the heating element directly to the power supply.
The water heater has to be continuously powered to ensure its ACI hybrid pro-
tective function (anti-corrosion) is operational.
The water heater must be connected to a 230 V single phase AC mains. The electrical
connection must comply with local installation standards.
The installation must include:
•
An all-pole circuit breaker upstream of the water heater with contact opening of at
least 3 mm: circuit breaker, fuse).
•
Protection by a 30 mA earth-leakage circuit breaker
Earthing is mandatory.
In no case should the safety thermostat on the electric backup be repaired outside our
factories. Failure to comply with this clause will void the warranty. Failure to comply with
this clause will void the warranty.
