12.2.3. Operations to be performed by the installer
Once a year:
•
Clean the exterior of the outside unit:

Clean any dust from the heat exchanger, taking care not to damage the fins. If
necessary, use a soft brush and low pressure sprayer (filled with water or a
product suitable for the heat exchanger);

Clean the drain and the condensate pan on the outside unit.

Check the alarm log
•
Check the hydraulic sealing: check that there are no signs of leaks.

Electric heating element hatch seal

Check the tightness of the electrical connections
•
Read the minimum and maximum values for the hot water sensor then reset the
values
•
Read the minimum and maximum tank top sensor values then reset the values
•
Read the minimum and maximum air sensor values then reset the values
•
Read the minimum and maximum condenser sensor values then reset the values
•
Check the heat exchange value. Based on the air temperature difference: Air inlet
T° - air outlet T° ≥ 3° C (if outside the reference value or recommendation, contact a
refrigeration engineer).
Every 2 years, depending on the water quality:
•
Water heater descaling:
Hard water TH > 25 °f every 2 years

Neutral water from 15 °f to 25 °f every 3 years.
(Define frequency based on the amount of limescale found during the first
inspection)
