Machine Set Up Adjustments: Shut Height of Dies and Return Stroke

DANGER!
 Due to the risk of hand or finger injury, never try to reach into the machine before
having assured that the machine is disconnected from the air supply.
CAUTION!
 The crimp machine is only allowed to be used with mounted die set, die adapter
and suitable safety guard.
 The crimp machine is only allowed to be used when it is in complete functional
condition.
 When working with the pneumatic Universal Crimp Machine UP 60, do not wear
loose clothing, jewellery or long, loose hair that can get caught in the pneumatic
Universal Crimp Machine UP 60.
 Work with caution.
 In cases of a machine malfunction, production must be stopped and the
malfunction must be fixed before continuing work with the machine.
 Only one person is allowed to work on or with the machine.
 Only trained personal are allowed to work on or with the machine.
 It is only allowed to work with the specified working pressure.

8.2.1. Shut Height of the Dies

You can adjust the shut height of the dies with a
hex socket wrench (Fig.8.05, item 1), depending
on the application requirement:
- to increase the shut height, turn it counter
clockwise.
- to reduce the shut height, turn it clockwise.

8.2.2. Return Stroke

You can adjust the return stroke with the hex
socket wrench (Fig. 8.05, item.2), depending on
the application requirement:
- to increase the return stroke, turn it counter
Clockwise.
- to reduce the return stroke, turn it clockwise.
