RECORDING MUTE

Use this function to create the 4-second blanks needed for proper
operation of the music search function.
@
Press the recording mute ( O ) button during recording and the
deck will create a blank space by recording a section which con-
tains no signal for approximately four seconds. The deck will
then enter recording pause mode.
@ To create a blank which is more than four seconds long, hold
the button down for the desired length of time. When the but-
ton is released, the deck will enter recording pause mode.
®@ To resume recording, press the pause (MM) button or the play-
back (P) button.
| TAPE RETURN/RETURN
PLAY
1. Press the COUNTER RESET button at the position to be
memorized.
@
The indicator is reset to ''OO000"'.
2. Press the TAPE RETURN
button.
By simply pressing one button, the tape can then be fast for-
warded
or rewound from any position and will stop near the
counter reading ''O000"'. If the play (P) button is pressed dur-
ing tape return operation, playback will start automatically when
"'0000"' is reached.
CD*DECK SYNCHRO RECORDING

If the CD player has a program function to determine the order of
playback, program the CD player before beginning this operation.
. Load a compact disc in the CD player.
. Load the cassette for recording.

Rewind the tape to the desired starting position.
. Set the DOLBY NR button.
. Set the DOLBY HX PRO button (CT-S910 only)
. Press the play button of the CD player.
. Adjust the recording level.

. Press the stop ( ™@ ) button of both the cassette deck and
the CD player.
@
Unless both this deck and the CD player are in stop mode,
synchro recording cannot be performed.

| SOURDINE A L'ENREGISTREMENT
Utiliser cette fonction pour créer les espaces vierges de quatre
secondes nécessaires pour un fonctionnement correct de la fonc-
tion de recherche de sélection musicale.
©@ Appuyer sur la touche de sourdine a |'enregistrement ( © } pen-
dant l'enregistrement ; la platine créera une section vierge en
enregistrant une section ne contenant aucun signal pendant envi-
ron quatre secondes. La platine passe ensuite dans le mode de
pause a |'enregistrement.

Pour créer un espace vierge de plus de quatre secondes, main-
tenir la touche enfoncée pendant la durée désirée. La platine
passe dans le mode de pause a |'enregistrement lorsque la tou-
che est relachée.
@
Pour reprendre I'enregistrement, appuyer sur la touche de pause
(HI) ou la touche de reproduction (P).

1. Appuyer sur la touche COUNTER RESET 8 la position a
mémoriser.

L'indicateur est remis 4 zéro ''O0000''.
2. Appuyer sur la touche TAPE RETURN.
En appuyant simplement sur une touche, la bande peut ainsi étre
avancée ou rembobinée de n'importe quelle position et s'arré-
tera prés de |'indication ''O000"' du compteur. Si la touche de
reproduction (P) est enfoncée pendant |'opération de retour de
bande, la reproduction commencera automatiquement lorsque
"'0000"' est atteint.

Si le lecteur de CD posséde une fonction de programme pour déter-
miner |'ordre de la reproduction, programmer le lecteur de CD avant
de commencer
cette opération.
1. Mettre un disque compact en place dans le lecteur de CD.
2. Mettre la cassette a utiliser pour I'enregistrement en
place.
@ Avancer la bande au point ot |'enregistrement doit com-
mencer.
. Régler la touche DOLBY NR.
. Régler la touche DOLBY HX PRO (CT-S910 seulement).
. Appuyer sur la touche de reproduction du lecteur de CD,
. Ajuster le niveau d'enregistrement.
