Erasure prevention tabs
The recording ( @ ) button does not work when the erasure preven-
tion tabs of the loaded cassette tape have been broken off {See
page 5). Do not press the recording ( @) button with unreasona-
ble force. When recording on both sides, make sure that both tabs
are intact.

BIAS
1. Press the open/close ( & ) button.
When the open/close button is pressed, ''OPEN'' appears in the
counter, and the cassette door opens.
2. Insert a tape for recording.
3. Press the open/close ( 4 ) button.
@ The cassette door closes.
@ When the cassette door closes, the take-up reel automati-
cally rotates and takes up tape slack (ATLC: Automatic Tape
Loose Canceller).
@ While the cassette door is open, pressing the play (P) but-
ton, fast forward (PP) button, rewind (44) button, record-
ing (@) button or pause (#8) button will close the cassette
door automatically, and the operation corresponding to the
button pressed begins.
4. If you use SUPER AUTO BLE tuning, press the SUPER
AUTO
BLE START/CLEAR
button.

"BIAS" appears in the counter, and the BLE DATA indica-
tor flashes.

Wait until the counter indicator returns to the normal coun-
ter, and the BLE DATA
indicator lights.
@
The bias is adjusted automatically, but when desired, you
may perform the adjustment manually by using the BIAS
(—/+) buttons after the AUTO BLE tuning has been com-
pleted.
To stop AUTO
BLE tuning
To cancel AUTO BLE tuning (e.g. must record urgently), press
the stop (Ml) button.
To reset a tuned condition
Press the SUPER AUTO
BLE START/CLEAR
button again.
Error display
If the old tape, the tape end or the leader (white portion) im-
mediately prior to the tape end is reached during AUTO BLE oper-
ation, tuning becomes impossible. That means recording will
stop immediately and the counter indicator will display the fol-
lowing (flashing) message:
''Err''.
In this case, press the SUPER AUTO BLE START/CLEAR but-
ton again to reset, and record without AUTO
BLE tuning.
5. Set the DOLBY
NR button.
6. Set the DOLBY HX PRO button (CT-S910 only).

Segments protecteurs d'effacement
La touche d'enregistrement ( @ ) ne fonctionne pas lorsque les seg-
ments protecteurs d'effacement de la cassette chargée ont été bri-
sés
(Voir page
5). Ne

1. Appuyer sur la touche d'ouverture/fermeture
( 4 ).
Lorsque la touche d'ouverture/fermeture est enfoncée, ''OPEN"'
apparait dans le compteur et la porte de la cassette s'ouvre.
2. Charger la bande pour I'enregistrement.
3. Appuyer sur la touche d'ouverture/fermeture ( & ).

La porte de cassette se ferme.
@
Lorsque la porte de cassette se ferme, la bobine réceptrice
se met automatiquement a tourner et reprend le jeu de la
bande (ATLC : Automatic Tape Loose Canceller).
@
Une pression sur la touche de reproduction (P), ta touche
d'avance rapide (PP), la touche rembobinage ( 44), la tou-
che d'enregistrement (
@) ou la touche de pause (§B) lors-
que
la
porte
de
la
cassette
est
ouverte
fermera
automatiquement la porte de la cassette et l'opération cor-
respondant a la touche enfoncée commencera.
4. Sil'on utilise l'accord SUPER AUTO BLE, appuyer sur la
touche SUPER AUTO
BLE START/CLEAR.

BIAS" apparait dans le compteur et Il'indicateur BLE DATA
clignote.
@
Attendre jusqu'a ce que l'indicateur de compteur retourne
dans le mode normal et que |'indicateur BLE DATA s'allume.
®@ La polarisation est automatiquement ajustée, mais lorsqu'on
fe désire, il est possible d'effectuer manuellement l'ajuste-
ment en utilisant les touches BIAS (—/+) aprés avoir ter-
miné l'accord AUTO
BLE.
Pour arréter |'accord AUTO
BLE
Pour annuler !'accord AUTO
BLE (p.e. en cas d'un enregistre-
ment urgent), appuyer sur la touche d'arrét (Ml).
Pour régler de nouveau I'état accordé.
Appuyer sur la touche SUPER AUTO
BLE START/CLEAR.
Affichage d'erreur
Si une vieille bande, la fin de la bande ou |'amorce (portion blan-
che) immédiatement avant la fin de la bande est atteinte pen-
dant l'opération AUTO BLE, I'accord devient impossible. Cela
signifie que |'enregistrement s'arrétera immédiatement et que
l'indicateur du compteur affichera le message (clignotant) sui-
vant :Err'"
Dans ce cas, appuyer de nouveau sur la touche SUPER AUTO
BLE START/CLEAR pour réinitialiser et effectuer I'enregistrement
sans la fonction d'accord AUTO
BLE.
