Operating the LL01 Laser Level

DO NOT stare directly at
the laser beam or proj-
ect the laser beam directly into the eyes of
others. Serious eye injury could result.
Do
switched on tool unat-
tended and switch the tool off after use.
Other persons could be blinded by the laser
beam.
Never aim the beam at a
workpiece with a reflec-
tive surface. Bright shiny reflective sheet
steel or similar reflective surfaces are not
recommended for laser use. Reflective sur-
faces could direct the beam back towards
the operator.
Note: The specified leveling accuracy relies
on
the alignment of the laser beam with
reference to the Spirit Level for Horizontal
Alignment 23 and the Spirit Level for Vertical
Alignment 24.
Avoid heavy impact to or dropping the Laser
Level 15. Damage to the Laser Level 15 can
impair its accuracy. After a heavy impact or
shock, compare the laser line with a known
horizontal or vertical reference line.

Fastening the Laser Level with
Mounting Putty
(Fig. 26, Fig. 27)
To avoid damage do not use Mounting Putty
on delicate or sensitive surfaces. If con-
cerned, test in an inconspicuous area of the
surface first.
The Laser Level 15 comes with two pieces of
Mounting Putty 29 attached, and it includes
replacements.
With the removable Mounting Putty 29, the
Laser Level 15 can be fastened to walls. The
structural surface must be clean, straight,
firm, dry, and grease-free.
Replacing the Mounting Putty
To replace the Mounting Putty 29:
1. Remove the old Mounting Putty 29
starting from one edge.
2. Remove Mounting Putty 29 from includ-
ed sheet, and position the Mounting
Putty 29 onto the back side of the Laser
Level 15. Press the Mounting Putty 29
firmly into place.
3. Repeat the previous steps with another
piece of Mounting Putty 29 for the sec-
ond position.
Fastening the Laser Level with
Mounting Putty
To fasten the Laser Level 15 with Mounting
Putty 29:
1. Position the Laser Level 15 approximate-
ly an inch (2.5 cm) from the wall.
2. Position the Laser Level 15 as required.
Orient the air bubble so it is centered
between the 2 lines on the Spirit Level
15
