Driver Mode
(Fig. 12)
This mode is used to drive screws, nuts, and
bolts with the use of the Adjustable Clutch 4
settings to limit torque and power output to
prevent over driving and fastener/workpiece
damage.
For light duty applications such as assem-
bling furniture or driving small screws, start
with the smallest screw setting (position 1)
to avoid damage to your workpiece. If more
torque and power output is needed, rotate
the Adjustable Clutch 4 toward the next
largest screw setting until you are able to
fully drive your fastener.
Drill Mode
(Fig. 13)
Drill Mode 35 will disengage the clutch func-
tion and allow full torque to be applied for
drilling.

Brake
When the Variable Speed Trigger Switch 1 is
released, it activates the brake to stop the
tool quickly. This is especially useful in the
repetitive driving and removal of screws.
Built-In Work Light
(Fig. 14)
Your tool is also equipped with a Work Light
7, for better visibility when driving/drilling.
The Work Light 7 turns on automatically
when the Variable Speed Trigger Switch 1 is
activated.
The Work Light 7 will automatically turn off
a short time after the Variable Speed Trigger
Switch 1 is released.
Inserting and Removing Battery
Pack
To Insert the Battery Pack
(Fig. 15)
If battery release tabs
are cracked or otherwise
damaged, do not insert into tool. Battery
can fall out during operation.
1. Set the Forward/Reversing Lever and
Trigger Lock 3 to the center (off) posi-
tion
.
2. Slide the charged Battery Pack 17 into
the Battery Port 36 until the Battery
Pack 17 locks into position
