Precautions for use:
For optimal cooking results, please observe the following precautions:
- always use cookware (pots, pans, etc.) with a diameter that completely covers the heating zone,
so that all available heat can be used.
Splashes and spills
can damage the
surface of the cooking
hob and cause a fire.
- the underside of your pots and pans must be dry and clean to ensure a longer service life for
your cooking hobs and cookware.
- never leave a hob unattended when it's operating at maximum power. An overflow could cause
smoke and greasy residues could catch fire.
- never leave a hob ignited without cookware on top of it, as the maximum heat level is reached
very quickly and you risk damaging the heating element.
- make sure that no heat-sensitive objects or utensils are placed too close to large pots or pans,
which could overhang the cooking perimeter.
- it's best to use a lid on the pot/pan. This saves energy.
CAUTION: in the event of glass breakage on the hob:
- immediately switch off all burners and any electrical heating elements, and isolate the appliance
from all power sources.
- do not touch the surface of the appliance.
- do not use the appliance.
WARNING: accessible parts may become hot while the oven is in use. Keep away from young
children. Always open the cover when using the oven. Make sure that all of the hobs are switched
off when you close the cover.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: before carrying out any cleaning operations, unplug the appliance.
Make sure that all of the cooking hob's controls are set to the "Off" position.
Let the hob completely cool down to avoid any risk of burns.
Thoroughly clean the appliance after each use. You need to remove any cooking residues to avoid
them burning the next time you use the cooker.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products, caustic creams, abrasive sponges or hard tools to clean
your appliance, as they may damage the surfaces.
CLEANING THE CONTROL PANEL
Do not remove the dials to clean the control panel.
Use a soft sponge and water mixed with washing-up liquid, then dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use cookware
with a convex or
concave base.
If the diameter of the
pot is smaller than the
diameter of the hob,
energy will be wasted.
19
Only use flat-bottomed
pots and pans.
