B – Ventilation
The gas can burn thanks to the oxygen in the air (2 m
serial plate on your appliance.
This air therefore needs to be renewed and combustion products must be evacuated.
Ventilation must be provided directly from one or more openings in the exterior walls, with a clear
cross-section of at least 100 cm
Using a gas cooking appliance generates heat, humidity, and combustion products in the room
where it is installed. Make sure that the kitchen is well ventilated, especially when the appliance
is in use: keep natural ventilation openings clear, or install a mechanical ventilation device
(mechanical ventilation hood). Intensive and prolonged use of the appliance may require additional
ventilation, for example, by opening a window, or more efficient ventilation, such as by increasing
the power of the mechanical ventilation, if there is any.
