Bevel-system adjustment
Your miter saw was completely adjusted at the factory. However, during
NOTICE
shipment, slight misalignment may have occurred. Check the following settings
and make adjustments, if necessary, prior to using this miter saw.
Bevel square-to-table adjustment
1. Loosen the slide-rail lock knob, slide the
head assembly completely to the back and
tighten the slide-rail lock knob securely.
2. Loosen the bevel-lock knob and set the
head assembly at 0° bevel. Then tighten
the bevel-lock knob.
3. Pull the head assembly all the way down
and engage the lock pin to hold the head
assembly in the locked position.
4. Engage the miter detent at the 0° position
(See "Miter-Angle Adjustment"). Then
firmly press the miter-lock lever until you
hear a "click" to secure the miter table
stand.
5. Place a combination square (not supplied) against the miter table and the flat part of saw
blade.
Make sure that the square contacts the flat part of the saw blade and not the
NOTICE
blade teeth.
6. Rotate the blade by hand and check the blade-to-table alignment at several points.
7. The edge of the combination square and the saw blade should be parallel (Fig. 17).
8. If the top or bottom of the saw blade angles away from the square (Fig. 17a, 17b),
adjustments are needed.
