15 Maintenance
► Press and hold the pushbutton
beep sounds.
The display switches off, and the pruning
shears are switched off. The cutting blade
remains open.
► Remove the battery.
► Remove combination wrench (1) from the
bracket (2) in the battery compartment.
► Clean the cutting and anvil blades.
► Place your pruning shears on a level surface
so that the display faces up.

► Use the combination wrench to loosen the
screw (3) and adjusting nut (4).
► Apply multifunctional oil in the gap between
the cutting blade and anvil blade.

► Tighten the adjusting nut (4) so that the cutting
blade (5) can no longer be moved sideways in
relation to the anvil blade (6) and can easily
slide past the anvil blade (6) without play.
► Tighten the screw (3).
► Insert the battery.
► Switch on the pruning shears.
The multifunctional oil is distributed over the
cutting blade and anvil blade. The cutting and
anvil blades are now lubricated.
15.3
Lubricating the cutting and
anvil blades with a grease gun
Alternatively, the cutting and anvil blades can be
lubricated with a grease gun via the grease nip‐
ple.

► Pull chain to remove plug (1) from the grease
gun (3).
► Fill the grease gun (3) two-thirds full with
STIHL multi-purpose grease (2).
► Press the plug (1) firmly onto the grease
gun (3).
► Position grease gun (3) on grease nipple (4).
► Press the grease gun (3) and push STIHL
multi-purpose grease through the grease nip‐
ple (4) with one or two strokes.

Adjusting the play between the
cutting and anvil blades
The play between the cutting and anvil blades
must be readjusted if the cutting blade can move
sideways or up and down against the anvil
blade.

► Loosen the screw (1).
► Tighten the adjusting nut (2).
