9.6.4 Frost protection temperatures
An internal frost protection monitoring
prevents the heat exchanger from freezing up
at low external temperatures. A temperature
sensor monitors the temperature at the heat
exchanger permanently.
If the outgoing air temperature drops below
the predefined frost protection switch-off
value T-Off, the supply air fan switches off
until the temperature has risen to the defined
frost protection switch-on value T-On.
We recommend the deployment of
i
an electrical outside air preheating
register, in order to ensure the frost-
protection function in passive-energy
houses. This avoids cycling the
outside air fan.
