9.6 Electrical connection
● Only qualified electricians are permitted
to make the electrical connections, in
compliance with the wiring diagrams in
the appendix.
● Make sure to observe the relevant regula-
tions with electrical installation; in Germany
this is particularly VDE 0100 with the
corresponding parts.
● Check the mains supply to the building
before commissioning. This must comply
with the voltage setting at the ventilation
unit.
● Fixed main power connection. Fixed
cabling is prescribed for the mains
connection, in a distribution box, for
example.
● Power cable and room air control are
already cabled in the electrical terminal
box.
● Lay all cables such that they do not
represent a danger of tripping.
Danger to life from electric
shock.
 Switch off the mains fuse at
DANGER
the fuse box when carrying out
any work on the ventilation
unit's electrical equipment.
 Position a visible warning
notice to avoid the unit being
accidentally switched back on.
Damage to the unit caused by

objects in the ventilation
channels.
 First install the ventilation unit
with all supply air and exhaust
air channels.
 Then make the electrical con-
nections for the ventilation unit.
Risk of damage if ESD sensi-
NOTICE
tive components on the board
are touched.
 Avoid direct touching of the
components or contact
surfaces.
9.6.1 Cable screw-connections
Power cable and control cable for the room
air control are already cabled in the electri-
cal terminal box.

room air control
W3 Cable screw-connections (3x) for the
optional RB-D1-ZF4 room air control
and external components (CO
RFS sensor or external operating
display)

Danger of short-circuits/unit
NOTICE
damage caused by water
ingression in the electrical
terminal box. Make sure all
connections are made correctly.
Only connecting cables with an
i
external diameter of 5 to 10mm
are permitted. In the case of an
external operating display at W3,
e.g. 2 x 0.75mm², external diameter
6.2 mm. For a CO
e.g. LiYY control cable 3 x 0.5mm²,
external diameter 5.9 mm. For control
cable W2: LiYY 6 x 0.34 mm².
 Remove the screws at the front of the
electrical connection box. Swing the cover
upwards.
