C. OPERATION
C.1 Data format
The results that are transmitted from the balance have a fixed format. The format can be broken down into three blocks. The
string is terminated by CARRIAGE RETURN (CR) and LINE FEED (LF):
/: space
The transfer block begins with an identification block (I), which is composed of two characters. This I block is used for more
exact identification of the transferred result.
The data block (D) contains actual measuring result. It is separated from the I block by a space. The measuring result is
transferred flush right in the D block with sign in front, decimal place and the applicable number of digits. Length of the D
block is 9 characters.
The unit block (U) is again separated from the D block by a space. This block contains the unit symbol "g" for grams.
Immediately after the last unit character, the entire transfer block is terminated by CARRIAGE RETURN (CR) and LINE FEED
(LF).
Exact behavior of the balance is described in the following paragraphs.
I = Identification block:

As special cases, the [[SI]] and [[TA]] transfers are immediately terminated by CR and LF.

The result is transferred flush right in the data block.
Leading zeros are suppressed. Plus sign is also suppressed.
The minus sign is always immediately in front of the first digit.
When the DeltaDisplay is switched on, the last two digits are represented as blanks when

This block indicates the unit that belongs to the weight value, namely g.
Immediately after the last unit character, the entire transfer block is terminated by CR and LF.
