18 - Oven Care and Cleaning
EN
Abrasive detergents and steam cleaning equipment should not be used
for cleaning.
WARNING
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean
the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may
result in shattering of the glass.
Hydrolytic cleaning
This methodology exploits the natural degreasing and sanitizing
function of steam to clean the oven cavity.
Advantages
•
Ease
•
Low costs
•
Eco-sustainability: it is the most natural and ecological
solution that allows you to have a clean oven at the end of the cycle
without the use of aggressive chemical detergents. It's good for the
environment, it's good for your health and it's good for the oven.
•
Reduced times
Method
After removing all internal accessories, pour 250 ml of distilled water
into the bottom of the oven. Close the door and activate the Clean
function from the menu, lasting 10 minutes. After this time, the oven will
switch off automatically by emitting an acoustic signal. Leave the door
closed for another 5 minutes: in this time the steam begins to soften the
fat particles deposited on the parts of the internal cavity of the oven.
Then open the oven door slightly to let the heat flow out (10 minutes):
this allows the cavity to cool down and dry.
After these last 10 minutes, you can proceed with a damp cloth to
remove any residue of grease, dirt and liquid: cleaning the appliance
has become easier.
The oven light is activated and can be switched off and on again at
any time.
