Installing/replacing the
soldering tip
Make sure that the sol-
dering iron is turned off
and cold.

1. Hold the soldering iron firm-
ly, unscrew the bushing (14)
and remove it.
2. If already attached, remove
the attached soldering tip
(3)/chisel tip (9).
3. Attach the chisel tip (9)/sol-
dering tip (3).
4. Put the bushing (14) in place
and screw on firmly.
Initial start­up
Removing/inserting the
battery
Only replace the battery
once the device has
cooled down. There is a danger
of burns!

1. To insert the battery (5), push
the battery along the guide
rail into the device. You will
hear it click into place.
2. To remove the battery (5)
from the device, press the
release button (8) on the bat-
tery and pull out the battery
from the device.
Checking the charge
status of the battery
The battery charge status
indicator (7) shows the charge
status of the battery (5).
Press the button (6) for the
charge level indicator on the
device. The charge level of the
battery is indicated by illumina-
tion of the corresponding LED
light.
Red-yellow-green: battery fully
charged
Red-yellow: battery approx.
half charged
Red: battery needs to be
charged
Charging the battery
If warm, allow the battery
to cool before charging.
