Adjusting the Sound
To fully enjoy the sound coming from your
stereo system, make the following audio
adjustments. See the sections following this
one for additional sound adjustments.

To adjust the volume
Turn the VOLUME control on the unit
clockwise / anticlockwise to increase or
decrease the sound, or press VOL (+/-) on
the remote.
To reinforce bass
Press DBFB* repeatedly and choose
DBFB MANN or DBFB ANNAN .
"DBFB BANNA\ " is stronger than
"DBFB MANY."
* DBFB = Dynamic Bass Feedback
To reinforce bass sound from the
super woofer (LBT-N455 only)
Press SUPER WOOFER.
"SUPER WOOFER ON" appears in the
display.
To cancel the SUPER WOOFER
(LBT-N455 only)
Press SUPER WOOFER again.
Notes
¢ When you press FUNCTION and select
"PHONO," SUPER WOOFER is canceled.
e When you use the turntable, adjusting
volume high may cause distortion or
howling. In this case, set SUPER
WOOFER off.
To listen through the headphones
Connect the headphones to the PHONES
jack. No sound will come from the speakers.
Selecting the Audio
Emphasis
Your stereo system has been factory set to
five specially recommended audio
emphasis settings. Choose from among
these five preset settings according to the
type of music you are listening to.

1 Press FILE SELECT (or MUSIC MENU
/®% on the remote) to select SELECT 5.
The SELECT 5 indicator lights up.
2 Press one of the FILE 1 ~ 5 buttons on
the unit (or MUSIC MENU @/>
on the
remote).
The indicator of the selected preset
setting button lights up.
